Trelleborg Tires presents a range of innovations at Eima, with the most significant being the launch of its first rubber track, the “Art1000.” Accompanying it are the low-energy absorption tires “TM1 Eco Power” and the latest evolution of the “ATMS” system.
After much anticipation, Trelleborg Tires has officially entered the rubber track market, and the “Art1000” is the undisputed star of the company’s stand at Eima 2024. This long-awaited but unannounced debut confirms the evolutionary trend in the high-power tractor sector, where machines must offer superior traction without causing excessive soil compaction.
Designed with durability in mind
Trelleborg Tires had already addressed this need with the development of the specialized “PneuTrac” tires, also featured at the stand, and now extends its response with an open-field track designed for durability, wear resistance, and maximum grip without significant soil impact, while also ensuring excellent self-cleaning properties. Although Trelleborg has not yet announced a release date for the “Art1000,” the revolutionary “TM1 Eco Power” tires are already available on the market. These tires are made from 65% biological and recycled materials and deliver superior performance on both roads and hard terrains compared to standard tires. Developed in collaboration with Fendt, they are compatible with traditional tractors and particularly suited for future electric models, thanks to a 47% reduction in rolling resistance, which translates to a 3% energy consumption savings compared to other premium tires, whether in fuel or electricity.
Trelleborg, innovation thinking about the future
In the same vein of optimizing propulsion efficiency, the latest version of the “ATMS” (Adaptive Tire Management System) is also showcased. This system, developed by Trelleborg Tires, monitors tire conditions in real time.
Designed for a tire lifespan of 5,000 hours or five years, it collects and processes key data like dynamic loads, pressures, and temperatures, offering the operator app-based suggestions to optimize field performance. Also on display are the new “TW” rims, designed to simplify tire mounting during wheel assembly, and the “Progressive Traction” range, which is dedicated to high-power tractors and delivers performance longevity that exceeds industry standards.
