“MiPlus” system by Matermacc, there is no precision without control

Controlling seeding precision via a tablet, whether operating on iOS or Android systems, is possible thanks to the “MiPlus” control system, which can interface with various series in the Matermacc range. Free from wiring, as it transmits information and a graphical interface wirelessly, the system can be managed from a tablet provided by the Friuli-based company, which also grants access to remote assistance, a free service for the first year of use.

Standard Iso 7256/1

Operationally, “MiPlus” performs quality checks on the seeding process, following a protocol in accordance with the Iso 7256/1 standard, specific to precision seeding, allowing the measurement of missing or double seeds. Should such issues occur, resulting in a seeding process that does not meet the established parameters, the “MiPlus” system will alert the operator with an audible signal while also highlighting the row or rows with seeding defects.

A valuable tool, now available for pneumatic seeders in the “Mso” and “Mso Duo” series, designed for professional horticulture. Characterized by a high versatility of the distributor and the presence of the “Easy-Set” system, which allows quick adjustments to row spacing, these models are specifically geared towards specialized uses, such as seeding beets and vegetables in general.
Specifically, the four models in the “Mso” series offer options for three, four, five,
or six rows mounted on frames of 200 cm for the first three versions and 250 cm for the six-row model. Regardless of configuration, all machines are equipped with height-adjustable transmission wheels, while the weights vary depending on the version, ranging from a minimum of 425 kg to a maximum of 560 kg. The required tractor power also varies, starting at 30 horsepower for the first two versions and 40 for the higher versions.

Likewise, seed tank capacities differ, ranging from 15 liters in the entry-level version to 20, 25, and 30 liters in the three higher-tier seeders. The capacities of the microgranular tanks are identical across all models, at 25 liters, although the number of tanks varies with the row configuration: two tanks for the two- and three-row versions, and three tanks for the five- and six-row models. There are also four models in the “Mso-Duo” series, equipped with two “Magicsem” distributors that enable seeding on two rows per unit, with row spacing widths ranging between 4 and 10 cm. Frame widths and required power are the same as in the “Mso” series, while the weights are slightly higher, ranging between 500 and 570 kg, also due to larger seed tanks, with capacities of 30, 40, 50, and 60 liters, and more 25-liter microgranular tanks: three on the entry-level version and four, five, and six in the three higher-tier models.

As in the “Mso” series, the seeding units of the “Mso-Duo” also operate using a swing arm mechanism for depth adjustment, which, resting on compression wheels made of rubber, stainless steel, or mesh, ensures an optimal seedbed on any type of soil.
