Presented at Agriumbria Agrilevante 2025, an exhibition dedicated to machinery and technologies for the agricultural economies. Now in its eighth edition, it will be held in Bari and will focus on internationalization, robotics and sector policies

Agrilevante is a growing event, which has established itself in the global trade fair panorama as one of the reference events for the agricultural machinery sector. The event, which this year from 9 to 12 October is holding its eighth edition in Bari, owes its success to a strong Mediterranean characterization; to the ability to present itself not only as a trade fair, but as a “global project” for the Mediterranean. This was underlined by Mariateresa Maschio, president of the manufacturers’ association FederUnacoma, opening the press conference to present the Bari event, which took place this morning in Bastia Umbra (Perugia) in the setting of Agriumbria. “The Mediterranean area is promising not only with regard to agricultural production, in particular for those with high added value, but also – said Mariateresa Maschio – for general economic prospects”.
The good trend of the African economy
In a complex context like the current one, the countries of the Mediterranean basin are in fact going against the trend. The trend especially concerns the economies of the southern shore, the North African ones, which record the most significant growth forecasts: +3.6% Morocco, +1.8% Tunisia, +4% Egypt and +3% Algeria. These are the same countries that in the three-year period 2026/2028 should see an equally considerable growth in the demand for agricultural machinery, with an average of 9% and 6% per year for Egypt and Morocco, and 3% for Algeria and Tunisia.
Agrilevante: international vocation
In a Mediterranean scenario characterized by great dynamism, Agrilevante strengthens its international vocation, with a rich program of initiatives aimed at promoting technical and commercial cooperation between the 350 exhibiting industries representing over 20 countries and the numerous economic operators present. In Bari, in fact, there are buyers from Mediterranean Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. “Always on the internationalization side – added the general director of FederUnacoma Simona Rapastella – the ICE Agency is defining the incoming program of foreign delegates, who during the four days of the event will be engaged in business to business meetings with Italian manufacturers. Also in this edition, these meetings will be held in an area of the fairgrounds specifically dedicated and equipped with all the support services”.
Conferences and workshops
The numerous conferences and workshops that will address the most important issues for the agricultural economies of the Mediterranean region are of international scope. In particular, the meeting of the Club of Bologna, held for the first time in Bari and bringing together the world’s leading experts in agricultural mechanics, stands out. Among the strong points of the event are the new formula of the technical innovations competition (now called Agrilevante/Machines for Mediterranean agriculture, with the Agricultural Processing Award and the Green Care Award), the Real area dedicated to robotics and digital systems, and the new exhibition space reserved for green care.
